In our opinion, nowadays, it makes no sense to produce fins with other materials, as the recyclable option is perfectly available, ensuring already very high performance levels.
In almost absolute opposition to what theorize competitors, we defend that polymers (currently known as plastics) are the best raw material for the production of fins, due to the fact that this raw material rejects the word IMPOSSIBLE. Sometimes soft, sometimes hard, sometimes elastic, sometimes tenacious, this extraordinary product, resulting from pure molecular alchemy, has been gradually replacing, with advantages, other materials hitherto considered irreplaceable on its various applications, such as iron, wood, rubber, ceramics, fibers etc. Besides, it is cheap, light, abundant, moldable at low temperatures, easily recyclable and reusable and, increasingly biodegradable. The future, whatever it may be in terms of new materials, will inevitably run into composite materials.
In our opinion, nowadays, it makes no sense to produce fins with other materials, as the recyclable option is perfectly available, ensuring already very high performance levels. Thus, our intention in manufacturing fins only with materials of this kind, watching out for the discovery of new polymers, that almost every day come to market, testing those whose properties are adapted to the requirements of modern surfing.
